Co-founder and Director of Operations

Ebony McCants is a Co-Founder and Director of Operations for Shi Shi Ni Events. She acquired a wealth of expertise in managing organizational performance from the Banking, Defense, Health Information Technology, and Media Solution companies she supported during her 15 year career. Ms. McCants co-founded Shi Shi Ni Events in 2011 and was instrumental in establishing the company’s workplace policies, procedures and financial structure.

At present, she is accountable for driving the alignment of strategic business goals, managing the day to day business operations in addition to planning and organizing events. Our clients share an affinity for her unrivaled work ethic, creative insight and respect for their bottom line. Her commitment to building lasting relationships is evident based on the retention and extension of Shi Shi Ni’s client base.

Ebony was introduced to the behind scenes production and logistics of event planning long before becoming a Certified Wedding Planner and Professional Bridal Consultant with the Association of Bridal Consultants. The extensive hands-on experience she gained from planning events during her collegiate studies would later fuel her passion to pursue event planning full time.

Her appetite for Event Planning was propelled by her participation in fundraising and planning efforts for non-profit organizations including the March of Dimes, Empty Stocking Fund and United Way. She quickly became the go to person responsible for event logistics, vendor sourcing and event execution. These rewarding experiences confirmed her desire to step out on faith and channel all of her creative energy into inventing her own possibilities.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University with a minor in Apparel Engineering Technology. In addition, she has earned the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI), a Certification in Wedding Planning from Penn Foster Career School endorsed by the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) where she has achieved the Professional Bridal Consultant designation.
